Jackknife Floor

A dynamic ab exercise where you simultaneously raise legs and torso to touch in a 'V' position.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat with arms extended overhead and legs straight.
  2. Engage your core, lift arms and legs toward each other.
  3. Reach hands toward feet, forming a 'V' at the top.
  4. Pause briefly, squeezing at the top.
  5. Lower back down slowly to starting position.

Form cues

  • Keep legs straight
  • Lift arms and legs together
  • Do not swing
  • Control the descent

Common mistakes

  • Bending knees or elbows too much
  • Heaving with momentum
  • Letting lower back arch

Breathing

Exhale as you lift, inhale as you lower.
