Exercise Ball Sit-Up

A core exercise where sit-ups are performed while stabilizing on a Swiss ball, increasing abdominal activation.

How to do it

  1. Sit on the exercise ball with feet flat on the floor.
  2. Walk feet forward, rolling until the ball supports your lower back.
  3. Cross arms over your chest or position hands behind your head.
  4. Engage your core and sit up, lifting your upper body.
  5. Lower back down under control to starting position.

Form cues

  • Keep feet planted
  • Avoid pulling neck
  • Engage abs throughout
  • Do not arch lower back

Common mistakes

  • Using momentum
  • Feet lifting off the ground
  • Ball not positioned under lower back

Exhale as you lift, inhale as you lower.
