Dumbbell Sumo Squat

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet wide apart, toes angled outward.
  2. Grip the dumbbell vertically between your legs.
  3. Keep chest up and core braced.
  4. Squat down, pushing knees outward.
  5. Drive through heels to stand up.

  • Knees out
  • Keep chest tall
  • Sit hips back
  • Drive through heels

Common mistakes

  • Letting knees cave in
  • Rounding the back
  • Shallow squats

Inhale as you lower down, exhale as you stand up.
