Crossover Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch

How to do it

  1. Start in a kneeling lunge with one knee on the ground and the opposite foot forward.
  2. Tuck the pelvis under and shift your weight forward, feeling a stretch in the hip flexor of the rear leg.
  3. Rotate your torso across the body, away from the back leg.
  4. Hold for 20-30 seconds, breathing steadily.
  5. Release and repeat on the other side.

Form cues

  • Keep torso upright
  • Engage glutes
  • Rotate gently
  • Hips square

Common mistakes

  • Arching the back
  • Letting front knee collapse inward
  • Leaning forward excessively

Inhale to prepare, exhale as you rotate and deepen stretch.
