Cable One Arm Front Raise

An isolation exercise that raises the arm forward using a cable to target the front deltoid.

How to do it

  1. Attach handle to low pulley and stand facing away from machine.
  2. Grasp handle with one hand, arm by your side.
  3. With a straight arm, raise it forward to shoulder height.
  4. Pause briefly at the top.
  5. Lower back to the start slowly and repeat.

Form cues

  • Keep core tight
  • Lift with shoulder, not hand
  • Don't swing
  • Control the descent

Common mistakes

  • Using momentum
  • Shrugging shoulder
  • Overextending at the top

Breathing

Exhale as you lift, inhale as you lower.
