Band Shoulder Warm-Up Stretch

A shoulder stretch and mobility drill using a resistance band to warm up the deltoids and rotator cuff.

How to do it

  1. Stand tall and grip band with hands wider than shoulders.
  2. Hold arms straight, band in front of thighs.
  3. Slowly raise band overhead while keeping arms straight.
  4. Move band behind head and down to lower back.
  5. Reverse the movement to bring band to starting position.

Form cues

  • Keep arms straight
  • Move slowly
  • Stay within pain-free range
  • Keep posture tall

Common mistakes

  • Bending arms
  • Rushing the movement
  • Arching lower back
