Kneeling Triceps Stretch

A static stretch targeting the triceps and lats by flexing the elbow overhead while kneeling.

How to do it

  1. Kneel on the floor or mat.
  2. Raise one arm overhead then bend the elbow so your hand touches your upper back.
  3. Use your other hand to gently push on the bent elbow.
  4. Hold the stretch.
  5. Switch arms and repeat.

Form cues

  • Keep back straight
  • Elbow points up
  • Gently press, don’t force
  • Relax neck and shoulders

Common mistakes

  • Arching the back
  • Pushing too hard
  • Letting elbow flare out

Breathing

Breathe deeply and steadily throughout the stretch.
